So it has been a long time since I have last posted but I am back with an amazing recipe! This recipe is inspired by Mama's Fish House and I finally found something that can measure up with the fish they prepare.
My husband and I recently took a trip up to Idaho to visit my cousin and his wife. While we were there I was flipping through her cookbook and while enjoying the pictures I came across Dijon- Crusted Tilapia. Shelby was already planning on making fish that night so we quickly changed to this recipe and I decided this was the fish I want to put on my blog.
The recipe is called Dijon-Crusted Fish and it is found in the Taste of Home Most Requested Recipes cookbook. The total prep time for this recipe is 25 min. It's a super easy recipe with little mess to clean up but packed with tons of taste.
For this recipe you will need:
-3 tablespoons of mayo
-2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
-1 teaspoon horseradish
-4 tilapia fillets ( 5 ounces each)
-1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
-2 teaspoons butter, melted
First combine the mayo, 1 tablespoon of cheese, the lemon juice, mustard and the horseradish in a bowl.
Place the fillets on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
Spread the mayo mixture evenly over the fish.
In a small bowl combine bread crumbs, butter and the remaining cheese. Sprinkle over the fish.
Bake at 425 degrees for 13-18 min. or until the fish flakes easily.
This fish is amazing! Bite after bite punches your palate with flavor. The tilapia as also super light, so when you do finally get enough (you'll only want more and more) you don't feel overstuffed. The mustard shines through and if you aren't a fish person you might want to give this fish a try because this fish will persuade your taste buds.
Yay! I feel famous! I'm on your blog! :) I'll put you on mine someday too, k? See you on Friday!

ReplyDeleteHow funny that you commented on my blog post today because I just made this for dinner and wanted to write to you too! SO GOOD! We are SO making this again! Thanks! And of course you can take some of my pictures. You don't even have to ask! You can just save them to your computer. Is that what you meant by "get them from me"?
